Pressure Relief Valves

A pressure relief valve is a safety device which controls or limits pressure in a system and provides protection by venting fluid from an over pressurised vessel. This operates during an overpressure event, which causes pressure to increase in a system above the maximum allowable working pressure (MWAP). A pressure relief valve is used across numerous industries, in particular within petroleum, chemical and gas manufacturing and processing.
